Law enforcement officials respond to disruption at state psychiatric program.
 
Baltimore, MD (November 24, 2016) – Law enforcement officials responded to a disturbance at the Secure Evaluation Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) program in Sykesville early Thursday morning. Some of the patients at the Muncie Building had grown disorderly, causing a staffer there to call for police support just before midnight Wednesday.

Baltimore, MD (November 18, 2016) – In response to Teleflex Medical Inc.’s medical device recall for specific lots of MAD Nasal Intranasal Mucosal Atomizer Device, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene urges Marylanders who have received a naloxone kit to check their atomizer for recalled lot numbers.

Baltimore, MD (November 17, 2016) – Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has declared November 17 to be Maryland Rural Health Day. In accordance with this effort of raising awareness of the health priorities facing our residents in rural areas, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Office of Rural Health and its partners throughout the state are sharing in that effort with the hosting of a webinar today at noon.
