Worcester County Health Department
The Worcester County Health Department is located in Snow Hill, Maryland on the beautiful Lower Eastern Shore. Our mission is to promote health, well being, and a safe environment for all of our residents, as well as those who visit our resort areas each season. We accomplish this by assessing the community’s needs, developing appropriate policy to promote health and well being, and providing, or assuring the provision, of needed quality health services. We currently have approx. 220 employees with a variety of educational backgrounds who specialize in such areas as: Environmental Science, Nursing, Social Work, Prevention and Health Promotion, Chemical Dependency Services, Administrative Services, and Mental Health.
