WACS Center Reopens PDF Print E-mail
 Snow Hill, Md. – The Worcester County Health Department’s WACS Center, 11827 Ocean Gateway in West Ocean City will re-open on Tuesday, January 17.  
 Staff is excited to return to the newly renovated WACS Center.  All group and treatment services will return to the WACS Center on Tuesday.
 
Any questions may be directed to the staff at 410-213-0202, or to the Addictions Program administrative offices in Snow Hill at 410-632-1100, ext. 1024. 
 
The health department apologizes for the inconvenience, but believes the renovations provide an improved and more welcoming facility for the community.

(Annapolis, MD, Feb. 17, 2012)—The Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) issued today its Call for Proposals to support local action strategies around implementation of the State Health Improvement Process (SHIP).  Launched earlier this year by the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DHMH), the SHIP provides a framework for accountability, local action, and public engagement to improve overall public health outcomes in our state.

 BALTIMORE, MD (February 15, 2012) –This tax season, Marylanders can join the cancer fight with a quick checkmark when completing their state income tax form, according to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH). The Maryland income tax form provides state residents the opportunity to donate to the Maryland Cancer Fund which in turn supports cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment programs.
