Snow Hill, Md. – The Worcester County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council is seeking nominations of individual adults, youth, or groups who have made outstanding community contributions to drug and alcohol prevention or treatment.
The awardees will be honored by Worcester County residents, elected officials, and Council members at the 21st Annual Drug and Alcohol Awards Reception and celebrating the 28th year of its existence. This will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 at the Worcester Career and Technology High School. Nominations of individuals or groups who have performed commendably and beyond the call of duty are currently being accepted at the Worcester County Health Department.
Criteria for selection of honorees include: program impact on community, appropriateness of approach, and personal contribution to the program. Anyone who received an award in the past three years is not eligible. The deadline for nominations is April 2, 2012.
