(Annapolis, MD, Feb. 17, 2012)—The Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) issued today its Call for Proposals to support local action strategies around implementation of the State Health Improvement Process (SHIP). Launched earlier this year by the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DHMH), the SHIP provides a framework for accountability, local action, and public engagement to improve overall public health outcomes in our state.

| BALTIMORE, MD (February 15, 2012) –This tax season, Marylanders can join the cancer fight with a quick checkmark when completing their state income tax form, according to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH). The Maryland income tax form provides state residents the opportunity to donate to the Maryland Cancer Fund which in turn supports cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment programs. |
