Snow Hill, MD - Get the whole family involved in adopting a healthier lifestyle with the Worcester County Health Department’s new program Healthy Worcester Families.
This 8-week program uses an evidence-based curriculum to help strengthen the family bond and communication through group learning and activities. The program is designed for youth ages 7-17 and their parents/guardians to attend together.
Sessions are two hours per week over the 8-week program, and a free family dinner will be provided at the start of every session. Families can receive up to $100 in Amazon gift cards and other incentives for participation in the program. Topics covered will include communication skills, healthy behaviors, financial literacy, and other skills to strengthen the family connection.
The fall session will begin Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Worcester County Health Department (6040 Public Landing Rd. Snow Hill, MD). An optional 9th booster session will follow the end of the program on November 16, 2023. Families who attend the booster session will receive a free crock-pot and cookbook.
