Snow Hill, MD – With a new school year on the horizon, Worcester Health is helping parents and guardians set their children up for success through the Healthy Worcester Families Lifeskills program.

This no-cost, 9-week program is designed for the families of 6th–9th grade students, and focuses on reducing the risk of youth substance use while strengthening self-management, social skills, and positive family communication. By equipping parents and guardians with practical tools, the program empowers them to guide their children in making responsible choices, building healthy relationships, and resisting negative peer pressure.

The Healthy Worcester Families Lifeskills program begins on Tuesday, August 26th. Classes will be held weekly at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (405 Flower Street, Berlin, Maryland 21811) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During each session, class participants will receive a nutritious meal along with many opportunities to earn exciting prizes that the whole family can enjoy.
