EVENT CANCELLED: Worcester Health Encourages Residents to Just Walk on October 2, 2025

Snow Hill, MD- In celebration of Walk Maryland Day on October 2, 2025, the Worcester County Health Department is excited to invite you to join them and walk or move your way at parks located in Berlin, Pocomoke, and Snow Hill.

Events will be held at the following locations and times:

9:00 a.m. at Byrd Park, 400 Dighton Avenue Snow Hill
12:00 p.m. at Cypress Park, 7 Bridge Street, Pocomoke
4:30 p.m. at Stephen Decatur Park, 130 Tripoli Street, Berlin

These events will allow you to be active, receive health information, and participate in no-cost health screenings. This is a fun, family-friendly way to increase physical activity. “Walking is the state’s official exercise and continues to be one of the easiest forms of physical activity and it’s free to everyone. There are many reasons to walk. There are also various health benefits that can be gained from simply walking,” said Mimi Dean, Director of Prevention Services.

The health department encourages you to Walk across Worcester during October (Walktober) and take a walk or move your way at any of our local parks. More park locations can be found on the Just Walk Worcester website at justwalkworcester.org.
