Snow Hill, MD– The Worcester County Health Department’s Prevention Services Unit extends our sincere gratitude to the many community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, local municipalities, local government, law enforcement, nonprofits, and faith leaders who partnered with our organization throughout Fiscal Year 2026, improving the health and well-being of local residents.

Key accomplishments during this fiscal year included:

Expanding community access to healthy foods and supporting efforts to reduce food insecurity through community gardens, food pantry boxes, and farmer’s markets.
Increasing opportunities for physical activity through community programs, events, and partnerships.
Promoting chronic disease prevention by supporting blood pressure management and diabetes risk reduction initiatives.
Advancing brain health awareness and education across the community.
Supporting prevention efforts aimed at reducing youth alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, and vaping use.
Promoting teen health education and healthy decision-making among adolescents.
Strengthening community strategies to reduce youth access to alcohol and tobacco products.

The Worcester County Health Department’s Prevention Services Unit celebrates these partnerships and thanks our community for participating in and supporting these efforts to improve the health and well-being of Worcester County.
