Maryland Provides 100,000 Fluoride Varnish Applications to Children Across the State
Baltimore, MD (February 27, 2014) -- Maryland officials announced today that it reached a significant milestone – 100,000 fluoride varnish applications have been applied by medical providers through Maryland’s Mouths Matters fluoride varnish program, an initiative launched in 2009 designed to prevent tooth decay in high-risk children throughout the state.
Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program March Outreach Events
Snow Hill, Md. (February 27, 2014) – The Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program has an ongoing outreach and education campaign to reach uninsured residents in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. The program held public and private outreach events in February to educate communities about Maryland’s health insurance exchange and the local consumer assistance program.
