CRT is activated by Law Enforcement, Atlantic General Hospital or our local school systems when a person is at risk of hospitalization due to a mental health disorder and/or is experiencing a traumatic event. CRT will complete an emergency Behavioral Health assessment on the scene and will attempt to create a plan for safety. If our licensed professional is unable to identify a plan for safety within the community, a higher level of care will be coordinated in order to keep the individual safe.

In a behavioral health advance directive, people are able to express their preferences on where to receive care and what treatments they are willing to undergo. They are also able to identify an agent or representative who is trusted and legally empowered to make healthcare decisions on their behalf. These decisions may include the use of all or certain medications, preferred facilities, and listings of visitors allowed when in care.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger because of thoughts of suicide, call 911 now.
