The Worcester County Local Health Improvement Coalition (LHIC) is a group of jurisdictional-level stakeholders that includes but not limited to healthcare systems, community-based organizations, government organizations, faith-based institutions, law enforcement, media, businesses, educational institutes, foundations, key minority leaders, community members, senior citizens and behavioral health consumers that represent populations at risk or have poorer health outcomes, and other sectors across the county. Worcester County LHIC membership is open to the public.

The Worcester County Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) are developed by Worcester County Health Department with the assistance and advice of the LHIC members, partner organizations, and community members. Worcester County LHIC members help determine the public health priorities and how to address specific priorities and health disparities within the county. The identified health priorities are addressed through programs, policies, and coordinated efforts with programmatic, data, and infrastructure support from the state and county.

LHIC meetings are held every two months on the third Thursday of the month at 8:30am.
