Snow Hill, MD– The Worcester County Health Department, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, will host a free brain health cooking demonstration titled Healthy Body, Healthy Brain as part of the Coast Health Fair on May 13th.

The event will take place at the Snow Hill Recreation Center (6030 Public Landing Rd, Snow Hill) at 10:00 a.m. and is designed to help residents learn how to reduce their risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. 

The events will also include a cooking demonstration and tasting, featuring the MIND diet—an eating plan recognized for its brain-protective benefits. Attendees will also be able to participate in health screenings, including the AD-8 (dementia screening). This brief questionnaire is designed to identify potential changes in memory, thinking, or daily activities. However, it does not diagnose dementia; instead, it serves as a screening tool for dementia.
